Albumix VII (Pump Conversion) available - 07/07

Well, time for another release. This one was a little unexpected, because I didn't think it would be done in time. And for that, the packs may not be on Mooga's or Amex's site for another day or so. I wanted to release this one today because it fits right inbetween VI and what would have been VII. As the name suggests, it has a Pump It Up theme. All graphics are from the game. Hope you enjoy ^^.

Your Albumix series has always been a favorite of mine. Although right now I can't download it due to dial-up issues, but once I get access to high speed at my brother's house I'll be sure to get this one.

Anyone happen to try the few of the harder charts? If so...were they decent? I'm thinking about throwing in a couple harder charts for IX. VIII is another normal pack...same with IX, just maybe a little harder...but I need to know what to improve on first ^^;;

This is cool. I've been looking for a song pack like this. Only it seems the only place to download the older packs is rapidshare, and that says my download limit has been met.

Anyway, I will be playing the Heavy/Challenge charts, so I'll come on here and tell you what I think one I have (In a couple of days, probably).

A note on the upcoming pack...

Three simfiles from Albumix VIII will be features in Terrence's Dwi Extreme Series. Also, three simfiles from DWI Extreme X-8 will be featured in Albumix VIII. This will give the pack a little variety of song selection and steps, and I think you guys will enjoy it ^^.

Ok, I just played a bunch of the albumix songs. My favorites are the ones from VII. They seem more polished, and not just because they have professionally made backgrounds.

Anyway, the challenge charts are good. Very hard. Some are too hard for me, but I'll pass 'em eventually. I wouldn't mind more, though. The heavy charts are fun, too.

The only thing I think could have been improved would be the banners. Just cropping the background isn't a good idea.

. Next time I see you online, maybe we can work something out...or over PM, doesn't matter (still have a lot of time before IX is released =P).

LiaDZ2 is also easier because I didn't want it to be too difficult

. I could have made it like it is on CZ/FS, but didn't think it would be very fun with only four arrows x_x.

On a sidenote: anyone know of a good program that will record whatever is playing from your computer? I wanted to make an Albumix VIII teaser by going through the songwheel pretty quickly, but the only program I have (creative mediasource) sounds horrible >.<

Sorry for the double post, but wanted to bring up a question.

Would you guys like to see steps that closely mimick crazy/nightmare steps (on singles, of course) for each song? I'm thinking about making an "expansion pack" that will have an edit for each song. There would be a number of 10's, 11's, and 12's...since a lot of the crazy/nightmare steps are pretty hard =P.

Well, I might go through with the edit pack. Did a few already, and they turned out alright. Going to focus more on getting good cuts and songs for IX and X, though.

Also, going to try something new:

Instead of keeping people updated through forums, I'm going to try to use my mysapce for something useful and keep updated about the simfile series. Terrance does this with his DWI Extreme series, and it seems like a success. Would post dates, ideas, teasers, etc. I am going to try this in a few days, and see if people respond.
