This is something I sort of just did out of fun and because I'm so annoyed at seeing simfile comments with people saying things like, "dude this file is awsoem. gr8 job ur my hero 10/10" Then playing the file only to find out the gap and BPM is wrong, there's to much random 16th stream, the jumps and holds are used terribly, and it's generally not accurate or fun. Rant rant, etc. etc. I don't even listen to simfile comments anymore.
Anyway, this pack is entirely metal. 70 whopping files by over 35 musicians and about 25 simfile authors. None of which have been in any other simfiles packs. A lot of these files are ones I've gathered over time, but I also went on an extensive search for simfiles, searching for every artist I know to exist (which is a lot). I made it because I know there are many many SM players out there who love metal, and this will expose them to more awesome bands other than DrAgOnFoRcE and company. Also, for all the newbs, such as the type of people I quoted in the first paragraph. This way, them, and everyone else, can enjoy some metal simfiles of actually quality, and without having to dig through a database where you can't tell what's good and what sucks. If you're not so much a fan of metal than maybe this pack isn't for you, but if you are, than you want this. Really.
If I'm boring you and all this is td;lr then you can skip ahead.
This pack has every type of simfile. From technical masterpieces, to files with 16th note runs that everyone seems to like. From timeless classics, to newer lesser-known simfiles, some of which are pretty amazing. The majority of music in here is power metal, as well as some progressive metal, some death metal, a little heavy metal, and other various genres. Why so much power metal in here, you say? Because that's what most people step, lol >_<
One last thing. I know some people might be disappointed, and some are wondering why I didn't include simfiles by certain artists in here. Well, if the public doesn't provide me with decent simfiles, or any at all for that matter, of an artist, what am I going to do? Honestly, the band I'm the most disappointed to not have a file of is Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden in great, and a big influence to most modern day power metal.
Okay, I'm done. Yeah, I know you're thinking, "Finally, I thought he'd never shut the hell up..." Quote: |

Oh, and note that I didn't bother contacting people about using a lot of these simfiles, but I really have no idea why anyone would have an issue with me putting their files in this big pack that a lot of people will probably download. In fact, it'd be downright idiotic to not want me to. It's only more exposure for you, and I'm also pretty sure simfile authors only make files so others can play them, no? If that's not why you do it, then don't publicly release them. You're all in the credits, and everyone is going to see your cdtitle. If for some reason anyone does have a problem with me including their file in here, contact me.
-ReadMe contains additional (yes, even more than this) information-
Damn, I said way to much. Just enjoy the pack alright, sorry for putting you through my babbling. I just don't want people complaining about stupid things, so I rather just answer everything before they ask.
Yeah...
P.S. This post gave me a lot of tokens, none of which I need \o/

I'm definately gonna download this when I find sometime to let 400MB download with no interruptions by my family, and play through. Although it looks like an awesome pack already =D
Also I would like to say that I love almost all of these bands! Yeah, it is a shame there were no Iron Maiden songs, but who knows? Maybe you'll do a sequel if this gets enough downloads? | |

On top of that, 7 Dragonforce files is MUCH more than enough.

I'm currently just listening to the tracks as I don't have spare time to actually play, but from what I've heard if the step are not terrible then these should be fun challenging songs.
Looking forward to playing them

Anyways, I WILL be downloading this as soon as I get back on my main Stepmania computer (I'm not on it atm, on my other computer, which doesn't like hands, rendering it useless for many charts)

This entire pack is generally index friendly, and most the charts that do have hands also have one without them. Quote:
