The Best Simfile Author - Registration

I am developing a site for this but i'm advertising it now.

This is a contest to see who is indeed the best simfile author.
12 of the best simfile authors will battle it out in 11 battles that will take place in a short amount of time.
How it will work, these 12 chosen authors will each make a simfile that fits into a extremely specific or extremely broad category chosen beforehand. In a short amount of time (starting at one week and increasing by one day for every round) they must create one simfile that fits into the category. The pack will be released to the public and everyone will vote on their top 3 favorite songs in the pack. The song with the lowest number of votes will be eliminated. to prevent favoritism, all entries will be anonymous. The actual contest will start probably in the next month on a site that will be constructed a little later. This thread is to nominate a simfile author who you think is worthy enough to participate in the top 12. Give credentials (i.e. 1st place in tournamix 3) and the 12 authors with the most votes get to participate. More information will follow once the 12 authors are confirmed

Nominations will run until April 10th and the contest will start April 17th

i'm a good step artist but MOSTLY for edits i don't think i can do original simfiles that well..... do edits count?

I was in pain deciding my entry. It was between you, cpubasic, Hiryuu, Kewing, Sulfer and Super_Ray. I ended up putting all the names into a hat and drawing out one, and Kewing it was! But if we ever get a second or third entry I already know where I'm going :P

I nominate Spork! because all of his sims on BMS have a rating of 10, which means they are of top quality.

wow... I feel really honored being one of the (possible) nominates. I don't really have words.

Unfortunately, if what I'm assuming is correct and it takes place in the upcoming months before summer, I won't be able to participate (counting I made it in) as I have a very important project for my degree to which I'll probably end up dedicating all of my time up until summer. Maybe if it takes place after summer I'd be all for it.
So you should better change your votes for someone who is avaliable X)

As for my vote..... a really tough decision, there are quite a few real good simmers out there. I think I'll go with w1p3out, all of his sims have a special touch to them.

Having a file rated a 10 SUBJECTIVELY doesn't make you a good simmer but then this competition wouldn't be about an OBJECTIVELY good one. It's the one people think to be most popular.

I mean, obviously it would be a biased competition no matter how you look at it. There is no best simmer. :P

You have a very solid point. I do like sims other people absolutely hate, so it definitely goes both ways. There still was no need to say that the way he did though.
