The Official (lawsuit removed): Maximum Tournamix DevThread
Yes, the project is back. It'll never stop, and it'll surely never die. The goal of Maximum Tournamix is to produce the first completely fan-made DDR game (except for all the other ones), from the music, announcer and videos on to the graphics. The features, while borrowed from DDR itself (sort of like ITG did), will be adapted and enhanced. Everything about this game is going to be custom... straight down to a cabinet (this sounds familiar).
And that's where you, the simulation masters, simfile creators, themers and everyone else here come into play. This project can't be accomplished alone. If you want to contribute, contact me via PM. We'll get you in somehow.
This is going to be the Ultimate Mix for the Ultimate Game, except for all those other ones. First of all, it can't be the ultimate mix for DDR if you're creating a new game. Secong I remember this thing called ITG. Third, I remember this thing called SMArc. Fourth, I kind of hope that you actually do get this off the ground, because seeing these things just flying off of the tops of forums is getting aggravating. Good luck to you, I guess.

Seriously, I don't plan on risking lawsuit. I want to make this and then hopefully pass it up to KCET. Sure, SuperNOVA's going to kick some serious ass, but what about a DDR game that - for once - was made completely by the fans and only released by Konami?!
Oh, and one other thing: it's completely rude to go and put words in other peoples' posts. I meant what I said exactly how I said it, not how you decided to translate it.

Tons of songs.
Artists in our mix are also on DDR, ITG, and DTX. And they are all legal songs too.
and what the hell, we'll have a tournament eventually, so, come on down and have some fun.
But seriously, seeing as there are like a million things like this, it's hard not to ignore it go on by.
Great concept, but it seems like it'd be hard to get support.

So you should ahve made the Konami thing clear. That way I could have skipped the (making notes on what looks to be a potential songpack) phase and gone straight to the (skipping over thread about fnatasy project) phase.

If Konami publishes your pack as a game I will cut off and eat my own foot, and I will mail you some sort of proof that I have done so. I feel that I will continue to buy shoes in pairs for years to come.
Good luck with your project, and lets let this senseless not-quite-a-flame-war end before it gets started. Agree to disagree if you will. Maybe I'm just cynical.

Total Tokens: 264.71 Donate Tokens | Wow, a doublepost. But it's been nearly forever, so no one should really care.
I'm switching this project's theme and name up, due to the fact that completely original graphics are NOT cooperating with me. In light of this, it's being nameshifted to Dance Dance Revolution: DX (OMG partial IIDX reference!) and the theme will be heavily beatmania-influenced. In addition to the normal "dance" game mode, a new one will also be implemented entitled "Beatdown"... if you thought adding two panels to a DDR song made it harder, try your hand at a full eight!
Mode selection will be done in the beginning upon selecting Game Mode. It will prompt you for Classic (4-panel and its associated sub-modes) and Beatdown (8-panel, Single only). Each song will have steps for both modes, as well as all five difficulty levels.

Now, with my revealing plans for the implementation of an eight-panel Beatdown Mode, you give it a rave review. How is this?

Before it was pretty much "here is gonna be a sweet pad pack, only we're gonna send it to Konami instead of releasing it." Not nearly as captivating, IMO, as a bunch of new files and new modes and awesomeness.
