So here it is, as much as I look forward to Ultimix 4, its gonna be a while--but I know you guys all have files made, files you're making, and files you want to make. So I think to myself:
"I would love to see a new pack come out."
and then I think:
"I bet EVERYONE would love to see a new pack come out."
and then I think:
"Why did Ben have to have computer problems?"
and then I think:
"I don't have computer problems."
Well, I do have a Mac, and some of you may consider that a problem. But I'm happy with it--so, well, I think we're ok.
So anyways, here it comes! The tentatively named
Dance Paradise! Now, here's the deal: I will be totally devoted to releasing this pack as soon as possible while making it as awesome as possible. None of this start a pack and disappear forever stuff (ahem, virtualVisions). I will do my best to get your files out there as soon as possible.
But obviously that gives you... YES! YOU!... a responsibility. You have to SEND ME FILES! That's right, so if you really have no intention of submitting anything then I'll let this die. But, if you submit I'll do my best to make this a great pack and to satisfy us all until the long anticipated DSU 4 comes out.
So, here are the rules. I am going to maintain some quality control, but I'll be light on it. Pretty much don't submit something you made in 5 minutes. And if its your first file, don't be upset. I'll try to provide constructive criticism, so if its one of your first files than let me know and I'll try to help you out.
Song Choice: I just have a few basic rules for song choice.
1. If its long then it better be interesting, if its 5 or 6 minutes long and really, really, really repetitive I might go for a no--so just be mindful of the length and don't step all 5 or 6 minutes just because you don't feel like cutting it.
2. If the song is not a steady BPM then either sync it right or don't try--if the syncing is close then I'll do my best to fix it, but if its really off I will not include it.
3. Please use high quality audio files. If the song sounds muffled, scratchy, or just sounds like it is low quality I might reject it.
4. Please avoid profanity and offensive lyrics as much as possible--I'm not saying I'll reject it just because of language, but keep in mind that there are a lot of people of different ages on this forum and playing SM.
5. OGG or MP3 file formats will be accepted, but MP3 is preferred.
If you have a question about a song then just ask me before you step it.
Graphics: Please try to include graphics with your file. These should include a;
1. Background image at 640x480 or a higher multiple.
2. Banner image at 256 x 80 or higher multiple. 384 x 120 is preferred.
3. CD Title with your user name. If you do not have one I will try and help you get one. Please though, control the size of these so that it does not cover a large portion of the screen.
If you cannot make graphics I'll try and provide them. I'll also take on help--so if you are interested in helping out with graphics then shoot me a PM or post in this thread. I will be kind of picky about graphic quality, so if you aren't great with photoshop then just leave it to someone else.

5. I tried to make this chart a little different and original, so its a little outside the box but I think its cool the way it turned out.
6. I've only been stepping songs for a couple of months and I'm not too great at it yet, so if you have any pointers then that would be awesome!
7. I usually just go as Braintrust or as Joel Stud, so I guess both of those are kind of included in my Bemanistyle Username.

Final Notes:
I would prefer songs that have not been released before and I would prefer if you do not release them on BMS or FFR until after the pack is released.
If I do not accept your file, your graphics, or if I give you some constructive criticism then please try to take it as best as possible. I will not be mean and I will not eat anyone (unless they're covered in maple syrup). Just think of everything as a way to improve.
