Dancing Stage Ultimix 4: Staff Positions

We're gearing up to get ready for the next entry of DSU and we need volunteers to do a variety of tasks. If you are interested please PM me with links to. We're aiming to make this the BEST DSU yet, and there are a lot of changes, if you think you're good we'd love to have you help us out. Ben Spiers is still around, but with KBU coming up as well there is a lot of work to be done. He's still in charge, but at times I or someone else might post in his place. I just thought I'd clarify that before the cries of "WHERE IS BEN?!!!" and "I LOVE BEN!!!!!" chimed in.

STAFF POSITIONS!

Right now we need judges, graphic artists, and syncers.

Judges: Will be responsible for judging files and responding to authors with a clear review of what was wrong with the file, what was good with the file, what needed to be fixed, and possibly ways it could be fixed.

Graphic Artists: Will make graphics for accepted files that don't have good enough graphics. May also be asked to make graphics by incapable sim authors.

Syncers: Will sync each accepted file to R21 standards.

To apply:

Judges: PM three reviews of files from DSU3. Reviews should include judgements for EVERY difficulty of each file. Each file selected should also be by a different author.

Graphic Artists: Send me three examples of banner/background sets you have done.

Syncers: Please send me three files you have synced. At least one should have a gradual slow down or speed up.

NOTE:
Please do not be offended if you don't get a staff position. There are multiple things considered and it doesn't necessarily mean you're just not very good. Also, some people will be selected to actually judge files and some to write reviews to advise authors on what needs to be fixed. If you are selected you will be required to join the Detach forums for easy communication.

Judging and Sync files will take a little bit longer to go over and post results from. Graphics I can just look at really quick whereas testing files takes time. Also, accepted staff will be given more information as we get closer to the release and start to outline specific jobs to each person. For now just sit tight if you've been accepted and wait for us to get you more information. It will come, just not right away.

You can apply for as many positions as you want. If you are accepted for each we will assign you to whatever is needed of you and whatever you are best at. If you can do all of the above thats great, but you probably won't be doing more than one thing at any one time (it would just be too much for one person).

Haha, sweet. Sounds awesome, but I only think I'll be good enough for the Graphic artists part. XD Nice idea.

Remember guys, post some examples of your (preferably best) work! And if you want to be a judge but haven't got DSU3, just review any of Hiryuu's, Spork!s, Super_Ray's or SulferDragon's simfiles. And PM them to me, we don't want another row about judging. We don't want DSU4 to be bad before it's started!

I can do steps and /or graphics. I'll try to make mostly new stuff for this pack, instead of touching up old stuff, but I do want to touch up a few old files that I'd like to see get some spotlight

Well, we're not looking for submissions yet, but if you'd like to help out with graphics then go ahead and apply. I haven't gotten any pms yet, I can't speak for Ben though.

I'll send in three reviews later or something. I still need to decide which ones to judge.
