I've been having this idea in my head for a while to put together a gimmick pack of fairly high-quality sims (haha, high-quality and gimmick pack in the same sentence).

Ben Speirs is in on this and likes the idea, I'm posting it because I'll be managing most of them due to Ben's computer being a loser.

The rules are pretty simple. You make a file with a hearty amount of logical gimmicks in it, make the foot ratings as if they were played under a CMod, get graphics (though you can submit stuff and get graphics later), and send them to me.

I will not be as strict as things were in KBU, but I will be asking people to revise stuff if the gimmicks make no sense, the steps are awful, or if it's offsync and such.

Remember, this is a gimmick pack! Things such as blue-arrow syndrome don't have to be worried about here!

And for quick clarification, negative BPMs/stops are quite fine, we'll just mark the file as not being 4.0-friendly. Try not to use them unless you have a good use for them anyways. JS <3

Hopefully this will hold people over while Ben gets his computer issues sorted. Now then, get to work on some trippy files guys!

EDIT: I should add, I'd like this to be pad-ish. KB files are fine as long as they're in Challenge/Edit. Don't have ONLY a KB file, try and have at least one pad difficulty level.

Strict? No, no, no, things like SMGpack, ODIpack, etc. are strict. KBU was about as loose as a keyboard pack could be. (Actually, I think I got too loose.)

I might submit something. I've made a few "gimmick" files in the past, and I've played plenty of others. The major challenge is finding the perfect song to use.

Nice idea.

Hmm, I could see a good gimmick file for Thinking Different by SGX...

I'll give it a go tomorrow. I'll have to restrain myself from making a keyboard file to it though, since kn33gr0w's is already good in that regard.

I'll submit my Speedcore Sunday simfile that I did for DSU4. I may also add the missing difficulties to my Arrabbiata MaxX edit and submit that. Those two will definitely go well with this pack.

EDIT: I have a Make it Better edit I can submit too.

EDIT2: I'm sending Speedcore Sunday and Make it Better.

Alright. I was thinking of publically releasing it anyway, I really like this sim, I hope you do too!

Can charts that've already been released be submitted to this? If so, I might have one or two things that'll work.
