Dream Theater Megapack [KEYBOARD]

So, for a few days, I've been contemplating making a pack with Keyboard charts of as many Dream Theater songs as humanly possible. I have some charts already made, but most of them I feel need to be revised a bit (I will get on this shortly).

This pack will contain straight DT songs, no sideprojects or Majesty Demos.

Color Key:
Red: I have a chart made, will modify
Blue: I have a tab for the song, will chart
Green: Chart complete
Orange: Charts I anticipate doing, but are not at the top of my priority list
Indigo: This song is not available on a Dream Theater Studio Album

Only charts for FULL SONGS will be accepted in this pack. I would like this pack to be index friendly, so please limit hands and try to make your streams as indexable as possible. Correct syncing is important - you can do fun things with stops and speed changes as long as the song stays in sync. DO NOT SUBMIT RECORD-MODE STEPS!!! Or charts with bad steps.

If there are charts already made for some of these songs and are not already marked in RED or GREEN on the list above, please feel free to PM them to me.

All charts for the pack should be PMed to me upon completion.

Also, Graphics Artists for the pack are requested.

Let me give you a few reasons why no one is going to submit to this...

1: Dream Theater songs are a pain in the ass to sync. Most people either don't have the skills, or aren't willing to spend the time to make a decent Dream theater file. I personally love DT, but I have never stepped one of their songs simply because I don't feel like syncing anything.

2: Most people aren't going to submit to a pack run by someone without a reputation.

3: Packs that limit song selection to one specific artist are a pretty bad idea, unless you have a good organized plan and know a lot of people who are going to help you with it.

Also, we don't need another metal pack like the CMDKDF where 75% of the simfiles are by the same person. *cough* Unless that person was GLoVE.

P.S. If I could have a synced version of Beyond This Life I would totally step it. I've always wanted to.

Okay, I redid Afterlife, Disappear, and Prophets of War, so those are complete, I'm working on modding The Ytsé Jam, and I also started work on Beyond This Life.

Full songs doesn't really make sense with dream theater. Who would want to play through, for example, a full The Ministry of Lost Souls file? It has interesting bits here and there but not fast or concentrated enough outside of the solo.

On the other hand, playing through only parts of the song makes it sound horrible and unplayable.

I think you could make Ministry work. The biggest problem would be uneven difficulty; you have like 8 minutes of relatively easy stuff then BAM 32ND NOTES

That kind of thing is frustrating as hell if you're going for a AAA even when it's a 2 minute song. That said, that's more of a personal thing - if I'm Marv attacking 90% of the song it hurts my pride to be struggling to combo the other 10%.

Frankly stuff like Disappear would be a bigger deal since it's probably pretty easy by keyboard standards, not to mention Dream Theater keyboard standards.

I think it'd be fun to try my hand at something but I'm pretty terrible at syncing. It'll be interesting to see how these turn out, though.

So don't do that. Cut out just the solo, or do something that feels seamless like glove's cut for this dying soul.

The Dance Of Eternity and Metropolis I can be a bitch to step due to the sheer number of time signature and tempo changes. I'm warning you.

EDIT: DukAmok has already done The Glass Prison years ago.

Well can you link me to the file?

And yes, I know Metropolis will be hard to step, but I've heard the songs enough to know how to sync them properly.

I'm in, can I do Scenes from a Memory in it's entirity? I know the entire score forwards, backwards, and with inverted lyrics

No, I don't think anyone can handle a 77 minute file.

Separately would be nice, but don't do Beyond this Life, Home, or Overture 1928 plz we already have those.
