I'll get to it, hold on. I'm really busy atm, haven't touched any files for a while.

Virus, you might not have noticed this, but I would prefer if the files were a bit more keyboard friendly (IE little/no hands)

That's the reason what I have put two skills in the simfile. Hard is obviously not keyboard friendly because it's hard... Medium is hand-free (it has 5 accidental ones), but has plenty of jumps (about 580).

I was a little lazy to upload an easy level, but when I have more time I will fix that.

I'm fixing "In the presence of enemies". I have made Part II also (mixed with Part I, because I like the long simfiles also), but there are some parts to fix. When I fix them, I advice you.

Some 16th notes, less sleeps, and more jumps. But the rhythm is the same.

I'm thinking in step "A Change of Seasons". It's a song that I like very much.

You can go right ahead and do all the epics :P

Also, I just realized that I haven't touched any of my files in a week .-.

sorry

EDIT: Just one problem I have with your TDEN file... the pre-solo section where you inserted jumps in the middle of a 24th note stream - lots of jumps...

EDIT: But the ItPoE files is definitely not index-friendly >_> about 3 major offenses in the first 2 minutes

If I'm thinking of the right part of the song, it's really slow 24ths isn't it?

Heh, this brings to mind someone I know of who plays index and loathes 'index-friendly' files :P

EDIT: I looked at the simfile preview for your TDEN and just at a glance I can tell the note intervals for the solo are off. Check out my/glove's chart for it, we both ultrasynced the solo, IIRC his is a bit closer still tho

Yeah, I noticed that too. ShinerCCC was making a chart (and I hope he finishes it, because it was an amazing index chart) with the solo synced up according to a tab book... lots of 32nds. Not so many in this chart...

Thank you for the advice Will check.

But I don't like use 48th and 64th notes in the solos.

Nothing wrong with 48ths and 64ths. If that's where the note actually is, that's where you put it.

I made a different version of the solo in a separate chart, for the sm look here:

steps.sm

put that into the folder, open the song in challenge, go to the solo section. Solo is a lot more notes than you think it is, and they way I synced it up there's a weird BPM event near the end of the solo, but not TOO bad of a problem I hope.

Also, I don't know if I could pass that solo 0_o

Solos are too hard to sync, but fortunately I have a high quality MP3 (320kbps) of each Dream Theater song, so I can sync with that and when I finish the song I would encode to 128kbps

Tab books are a great help in syncing solos.
If that fails Guitar Pro tabs are usually somewhat accurate.
