After getting my hands on the in-game covers to Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero 2, I decided to start a project. Guitar Hero simfiles seem to be in high demand right now. To fulfill that demand adequately, I would like to organize a Guitar Hero simfile pack.

BPM charts for all the Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero 2 in-game covers can be found here: ScoreHero.com :: Index You can also use the original versions of the song so long as you find a way to sync the notes correctly. Fair warning: the BPM charts on Scorehero are not always accurate; fiddle with the BPM at your discretion. Hint: make use of the assist tick in the editor.

You can either download the entire cache of music files from ..::[ Stepmania MEDIA ]::.. Tu portal de descargas para Stepmania (it's a 780 MB archive), or PM me to request a specific song. When you make your request, I will send you the music file and a blank, BPM-synced SM file.

If certain songs become popular, v2 simfiles may also make it into the pack, but generally, only one submission per song will make it.

The only difficulty required is Heavy, and it must be a keyboard file if the song is difficult enough; otherwise make the chart as hard as reasonably possible.

Beginner: Pad file
Light: Pad file
Standard: Pad file/easy keyboard file
Heavy (REQUIRED): Keyboard file
Challenge: Harder keyboard file
Edit: Whatever the hell you want. Doesn't matter.

I would hope cuts would be allowed as long as they're done well. If so, I'm sure you can count on me to do a few sims

And if you're looking for judges I may be willing to... maybe, if you'd like. I'm not sure yet, keep me in mind.

Oh, and how many sims ya aiming for?

Wait, I just realized that you already marked that you're doing I love Rock & Roll, and Ace of Spades. Those were the ones that I was wanting to do the most D:

I don't even know 95% of the songs from GH. The only other thing I could see myself doing is Killer Queen, and maybe Smoke on Water...

Cuts will be allowed if they are done well, but full versions are preferred.

I'm looking for judges, yes.

Haven't decided how many sims I'm aiming for, but at least 25 most likely. We got a lot of songs to choose from. The more songs simfiled well, the better.

Also, you can sumbit sims for songs people are already doing, but that means you will have competition.

Can I see the original thread of yours first? Then I'll decide if we're merging. We probably will. I'd also like to see what songs you've got taken care of.

Yeah let's merge our projects together. Your files are valid, you just need to add keyboard steps to them if the song is hard enough to allow it.

I'm sending all the requested files tonight: Smoke on the Water, Killer Queen, and Take Me Out.

I can't guarantee the BPM values I give will be dead on; adjust slightly at your own discretion. They are accurate for the most part, however. They seem to be very inaccurate for the Texas Flood file I'm trying to work on. I have 80 seconds of it synched...out of 5 minutes +. And it's not even dead on but it's probably as close as I'll get.

BTW, do these simfiles have to be exclusive to this pack or not?

No. I'm actually requesting Sloqx's permission to add his Guitar Hero files to the pack, they're very well done.

Texas Flood is finished. The sync isn't perfect but it's pretty good for the most part.
