I have a few comments/questions;

1- Most of the songs mentioned in this thread suck. Sure, there's good Christian music out there, but this isn't it. I'd love to see a full list of what there is so far, and I could probably pick out a few songs and step them as well.

2- Is this pad/keyboard/both or what?

3- Where is help needed? I can do steps and art if help is needed there. I already have a few sims started for Christian songs (Relient K, David Crowder Band, Sufjan Stevens, Sanctus Real)

Only if it's from before his first Worship Album. After that he went down the drain. And please, don't step Here I am to Worship. That's one of the single worst "worship" songs out there. Don't get me exegeting song lyrics.

lol, braintrust, we don't have that many people working on this, so we may end up with songs you don't "like".

1) There is no big songlist yet, so we're up to any suggestions.
2) Most likely pad, due to who we have working on this pack and the nature of the music.
3) The main work here would be figuring out who all is still going to work on it, getting a song list so we can work on it (also in that list are some simfiles previously finished), and then working on them.

So what artists were you thinking of?

Artists

David Crowder Band- They have a good following, have won many awards, and are in general very talented. Much of the music is well suited for steps too.

Relient K- also have a good following, and are very popular in Christian and non-Christian circles. They have good lyrics, good backgrounds, and good vocals. I'm currently working on a High of 75 file that might find it's way here (but I've already said I might submit in another pack).

Sanctus Real- a lot of good high energy music.

By The Tree- well, at least their stuff from before they fell into the praise and worship fad. I can contribute some stuff from their album Roots, which is also very high energy and well suited for steps.

Andy Hunter- Christian techno... need I say more?

Bethany Dillon- has some good stuff that will work for steps.

Caedmon's Call- Some of their stuff has really good rhythyms. They also stray from generic music.

Mary Mary- they have one or two songs that would be good for this. We need some hip-hop.

Jeremy Camp- some of his newer stuff might work for steps, I would have to experiment to find out though.

Sufjan Stevens- he's not under a Christian label, but he is a Christian and some of his music has Christian themes. the only problem might be finding a song, good for stepping, with definitively Christian lyrics.

Others are Switchfoot, Shawn McDonald, Shane and Shane, and possibly dc Talk. I'll get to work on steps today. First I just need to finish the last 20 measures of a file for Simfile Revamp II over at FFR.
