Yes it was very hard to sync right. Took me a while to get it right AND I even have two mistakes that I let slide because I was tired; the bridge BPM is probably off a bit, and the ending sections first triplet is off. Might fix them later though, as long as I'm not too lazy.....anyways as for easy songs......I cant think of any 0_0

Or there is always the option of copying somebody else's song. Not the steps themselves of course, but one with a BPM/offset that is already synced. That would make things easier. But this kind of defeats the purpose of "making your own sim" and it wouldn't give you the practice you need to improve.....so here is my suggestion. Pick as song that you already know is made, one of ours would be okay. Except try really hard not to look at the BPM. Try to get it on your own, and once you think its right, check the song you're trying to copy. Then you work the same with offset (although that varies depending on what song you have), steps etc.

Tweety-->Hmmmm.....I have a random idea. What do you think of you and I, and Jubo if he wants to put input in, making a "How To Make a Sim" faq? I think you brought up the idea earlier, but if more people do it, it will be finished faster. It might help everyone who is going to apply for the next mix. It doesn't have to be big time extensive....just covers everything you need to know about offset, downbeats, finding BPM, and advice on various things. Plus I know you're bored. ^^ Might give you something to do for a hour or two. ^^ SWEET that rhymed lol.

Hmm just a random question being thrown out there; do you guys use a tool that helps you find the BPM of a song?

Also I would like to try at making some songs for the 4th mix ^^.

I basically just started but it's picking up in progress very quickly.

Thx ^^

The MixMiester BPM Analyzer is a good program to find the BPM of a song. It only works for songs that have a constant BPM so if your song have a varying BPM, it will give you an incorrect value.

ya that would be cool, wouldn't want to make everybody a fool, cuz FAQ's will tell ya how to do it, so don't just do as you see fit, but how do we start? I'd say everyone write a part, and then we put it together, to help other people and creating good weather!

PWNED YOU ON RHYMES *LAWL* (ok the last rhyme was kinda lame)

That's the exact program I am talking about.

OH YEAH!!! Well uh.......*looks for a random rap song to copy*
Each writing a part sounds pretty good, although it may not be as it should. Some have more experience than others, others sim authors make us shudder. So I think it should be the veterans only this time, for it would be much more sublime. That way the FAQ speaks only the truth, and not from some guy named Ruth. With this how can one lose? .......I sound like freaking Dr. Seuss.

Victory dance.

you asked for it...ehem...

of course the veterans I thought about, I just didn't say it out, maybe we should decide who gets which part, that way it's kinda smart, or decide who even gets to write, since everything has to be alright, and with jubo we have to talk, it isn'T just a morning walk, but it's indeed a good move, to help the simfiling community improve....

Of course you are right good sir, it has to be veterans only or else chaos will incur. As per deciding who gets what part or what those parts are, a topic of this on the forum might go far. However me must state clearly its members and veterans only, or else the topic will be far from lonely. In regards to its ease, it is very similar to a walk in the breeze. Nothing extensive is necessary nor does it have to be large if you recall. In fact the length of the text need not be more than 20 inches tall. As for members, I suggest only very few, or else we might bite off more than we can chew. In fact I would limit the involvement only to those with a multitude of completed works. This way we are only left with the perks.

Do you realize that this would go alot faster if we weren't in a rhyme? Ah well. Not like like we are very strict or strapped for time.

Double victory dansu~

Xion-->Neglected? Alright.......I would still put your input in this faq though. You are pretty good mind you.

Tweety-->Alright lets talk normally now ^^. Although that was pretty damn fun don't ya think? ^^

So basically I thought it would be major veterans first, meaning Jubo and you basically. Possibly koa for pad files as well. Then we have input from the newbies who are showing progress and promise who have also made more than lets say.....20+ files successfully, which would be people like Xion and me (sure there are others. The others it would be more of guest commentary in a way.

Regarding content......probably just the stuff we have said before. Choosing a song, finding the BPM (MixMeister, but Ill also explain my method w/o using it), offset changes, BPM changes, making banners/bg/CD Titles acceptable (dimensions, limits etc.), step flow pad/KB, using patterns (common patterns, fun patterns etc.), varying your steps, things of that nature.

I was thinking that for us (meaning those who like to experiment with BPM and such, dealing with sharp/numerous BPM changes) we could also make some sort of advanced section containing all the stuff thats hard to do and if executed incorrectly could alter your sim for the worse. Stuff like BPM changes, speed ups, slow downs, stops, step patterns, layering etc. Stuff that actually takes time and practice to execute properly.

Making a forum topic can wait until we get some things finalized and concrete....although right now the only thing I would open it for would be to see who wants to put some input in. But then again, maybe EVERYONE will want to, but we only want those who have enough experience....so perhaps it would be unwise to open a topic at all.... What do you think?

Wow I just made it complicated LOL. Of course, in all likelihood you and I will probably doing the bulk of the writing....buts thats okay for me mostly because I love to write. <3.

hm...writing should be up to you.....

as a biology student, I know that a majority of women are better than men in writing, using stylistic means, and expressions......LOL

plus, english is not even my native language -.-

maybe I'll start with some ideas (not in fully written sentences, but in points) as .txt, then send it to everyone for proofreading + additional aspects + corrections......then you write the final version perhaps?

Not great on english department so blah!~

I try to help out as miniminum as I can :P hehe!

-Plus my ways... its so easy (for those who have great timing on tapping on the beat and have so large "logicals") for those who dislike bpm changes and like very short or short enough songs like DDR size or ITG size (2:30min) Though Long Versions... (Snow Angel was like 2nd attempt from Nana Movie Song) not that great one

though... hmmm I could help on encoding videos and banner videos

-I post this on my site, if this is done. (with alot of pics )
-Honestly... I don't really tell people how to since I'm hassel to understand from the english and instructions I gave out ^.^
