Exclamation Ultra Beatdown pack released!! (video preview included)

*edit* The pack has been revised as of 10/30/08

As one user pointed out, eliminating non-DF fans would compromise constructive feedback. So I'll say this: Everybody's welcome, but please don't post bias comments due to the songs. A lot of the things that've been done can only be explained by actually stepping the file.

Download link:

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Files included:

1. Heroes of Our Time
2. The Fire Still Burns (exclusive to the pack)
3. Reasons to Live (2 versions)
4. Heartbreak Armageddon
5. The Last Journey Home
6. A Flame for Freedom
7. Inside the Winter Storm
8. The Warrior Inside (exclusive to the pack)
9. Strike Of The Ninja
10. Scars Of Yesterday

Bonus track:

E.P.M.

Authors who participated:

SulferDragon
Gehodra
N.T.M.
ssbmchamp

Video preview:

YouTube - Stepmania: DragonForce - Ultra Beatdown Pack Released!!

My apologies for not including some more clips like I originally intended. To make a long story short, due to complications with my computer I was obligated to butcher the original video. It's a little short now IMO, but optimistically at least now there's more of a surprise element.

Well enjoy the files guys and have a super day!!

I clicked the link to the filefront download, and it didn't work. This should be the correct one: DragonForce_-_Ultra_Beatdn.rar - FileFront.com

Fixed. Is there the same problem at FFR?

Yes, I just checked.

No big deal, though, as long as one of the links works.

Played through the first 4 (in album order).

I am neither a fan of Dragonforce nor a fan of spread files... but you pulled it off so well that these seem to mostly work.

Except 32nd notes at 195 BPM on Heartbreak Armageddon. That doesn't work :P

Based on what I've seen so far, I'd give this pack a 9.4/10

Where are Weemo's steps for Heroes Of Our Time and Inside This Winter Storm?!

Never mind, I'd give this a 9/10.

Regarding those 32nds: There's an optimal speed to hear them. It's about .7x as I recall. Most of it is 16ths, but it sounds like the steps double at those points. If you slow things down too much sounds can get distorted, so I did my best to find the optimal speed for determining the note accuracy.

And I'm very glad you enjoyed the pack!

I've never heard of him. I'll have to try it. I thought I played all the HoOT files.

There will quite possibly be some revisions for the pack in the future, but nothing that big. I think I made a few fairly minor mistakes in my HoOT file. It was my first DF file though ^_^.

Here's his YouTube channel. I don't know where in FFR he posted his versions of HoOT and ItWS.

I think he plans to make his own pack. Or maybe he doesn't.

Yeah, I could tell that the notes were synced to the song perfectly... but it really isn't very fun to play something at 26 NPS...

Actually, yeah. For something as fast as 32nds at 200 bpm you should have an edit chart which is stepped properly and a simplified heavy.

As I recall it was a Challenge option and a simplified Heavy. Unless I'm misremembering ^_^.

*edit* You said 200 BPM. Are we still talking about HA? I assume so. I just ask cuz it's 195.
