[WIP] Guitar Hero III and Rock Band Pad pack

Yeah, i contacted Raikou Rider and he said he didn't want to work on the Guitar Hero Megapack 2 anymore, and time is limited in my station at the library, but I am working on paddable charts for Guitar Hero III - Legends of Rock and even a few songs from Rock Band. The songlist is pending, but I'll work it in a few minutes. Just expect a edit in the first post. Keep in mind that songs like Slow Ride and La Grange aren't master tracks, and I did that on purpose for a reason - they have endings, where the album versions don't. Holiday in Cambodia was a bit off on the recording, but it shouldn't be bad. The question is where to put the pack in since Bemanistyle only accepts files less than 10 MB. And I can't do banners and background songs, so help is appreciated. Give me a PM if anyone is interested in this pack, and I'll see what I can do.
Oh, the pack is compatible with Stepmania.

As of 7/18/08, I updated the difficulty of the list. Songs will have Beginner, Basic, Difficult, Expert, and if available, Challenge (I'm using SN and X references, FYI). The steps has to be DDR-quality, which means no Hands, no Quads, no Mines, and no Rolls or Lifts. As mentioned before, songs with an * is a master track, meaning it's not re-recorded like Slow Ride and La Grange.

I don't remember this song, is that in Rock Band or GH3? If not, this is the wrong place to request.

I may plan on adding "The Who" in the GH3 song (forgot the name) because they are in VH1's Rock Honors. Also, sit tight for more images and more demo packs -they are coming soon.

An update as of July 22 at 4:50 PM, the lyrics will also be included in all songs in the pack, and will be compatible with StepMania, SM Plus, and OpenITG. Just set the ShowLyrics in the .ini file to 1 (true) and they'll show. I'll contact someone about graphics right away.

Double-post, but what the heck?

Here's the rules for banners and backgrounds for the songs.
Banners must be in .PNG format and at 256x80 (default resolution). 512x160 is okay, however. The banner must have the song name and the artist in the banner.
Backgrounds must be in .PNG format and at 640x480, and must have either a generic-style text that T7R does in his sims, or the song name on the background (artist is entirely optional).

Update: Thanks for the ingredients for making generic-style BGs, Tsugaru7reveng. I'll work on the backgrounds for the songs and give them to you for the banner-making if you like, since I know you're good at banner-making.

Update 8-5-08: Here is the information about the graphics for anyone interested. I did contact Teknoboi and he accepted, so anytime is fine here.

I don't even know if I should make another post here, but if this is a problem, someone let me know, okay?

Anyways, the backgrounds are all near-finalized, but the banners aren't even started because I have barely any experience with The GIMP, just cut and paste experience. Also, you won't see progress during weekends because I don't go here on the weekends or Mondays, so don't expect any changes until Tuesday. Another thing I may also add is some music videos if the filesize doesn't exceed the 300 MB limit, like Black Hole Sun. If this is a problem, then I won't do the music vids.
Anyways, overall, what I'm saying here is that I need assistance in the banners. Here is one link to the unchanged backgrounds, and the slightly modified backgrounds to anyone interested.

Update 7/29/08: Added two more songs in the list, Black Sunshine, and Even Flow. FYI, when the upload is complete (I may use SendSpace if it isn't more than 300 MB), all audio will be in .ogg vorbis format. I WILL NOT use .mp3 files for obvious reasons, and more flexibility for SM.

You're not going to believe this, but I may include a DLC song in GH3 called Soothsayer, by Buckethead. Read the first post for proof as I updated this. I give credit to Parama for influencing it and responding to my request. I'll work on the DDR-quality stepchart soon, but not right now.

Remember, all steps must be Pad-quality, not keyboard edits. Yours was originally a keyboard edit.

Because you didn't tell me to make a pad chart. And I probably wouldn't have made a pad chart anyways :P

Anyways, if you take out all the hands, take out every other note in the shredding parts, and turn the one-finger tapping into streams of trill-notes, it would be paddable :P

EDIT: I made a quick edit and added hard steps to my soothsayer file, you can check them to see if they'd be better for the pack - you can just remove the challenge steps off the final file for the pack if you want

EDIT2: Hold off on that for a bit, I made some errors v_v

I was informed that a member I asked to is unable to go further with the song banners (due to someone's PC shortened out). So anyone who can provide assistance is happy to post here.

Update: Also, I wanted to know what year did the Rock Band songs debuted (like Welcome Home, 2006). Anyone with the information should post here.

Partially my fault for not getting the banners done as quickly as I should. :p I'm doing them all right now because, knowing my distractability, I'd just end up playing Doom for several days in a row and do no work on it otherwise.

EDIT: Okay, I've gotten about ten new banners done. I'll send them to you in a rar file when I've completed all banners lol
