A Few Music Game Steals at GameStop

Normally I wouldn't plug GameStop sales, but the chain started its Game Days sale this week, putting a couple of music game titles at bargain bin prices. Mostly, the games on sale aren't very noteworthy and the music game offerings aren't exactly recent titles, but I thought it would be nice to point out that brand new copies of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith are selling at $9.99. I hadn't picked up the title when it released and only did a quick playthrough of the title, so I thought ten bones was fine enough to finally pick it up for the Xbox 360. So I brought the game to the counter and low and behold, with the purchase, the fine manager also hands me a brand new, full-packaged wired X-Plorer guitar controller absolutely FREE.
It may be desperation to get rid of those blasted wired contraptions still lying around, but if you ask me, a full Guitar Hero game and a wired guitar controller for $9.99 is a pretty darn good deal. Maybe you don't need another guitar controller, but wouldn't it be cool to get one for free, grab a video camcorder, record a performance and smash the guitar into pieces at the end of the song? I know every single one of you has dreamed of such a feat, don't deny it. Just make sure you wear safety goggles or something and don't destroy anything/someone else in the process.
The Nintendo DS's Guitar Rock Tour makes the list for $9.99 as does Boogie Superstar (no mic, unfortunately) for the Nintendo Wii. Finally, while it isn't part of the Game Days sale, if you haven't picked up Elite Beat Agents for the DS yet and have been curious about it, for one week only, you can get a used copy of the title for a mere $4.99.
So, yeah, the games on the annual chopping block sale aren't exactly recent or high profile, but you have the option to pick up a brand new Guitar Hero game and a guitar for $10 along with Elite Beat Agents for $5 - take it or leave it. If you haven't jumped on those titles yet, there probably won't be a better chance for you unless you find them in a garbage can or give your friend a pack of bubble gum for them (we don't condone stealing them). Regardless, if you're part of the lot that plays games other than music-based titles, there is also a line of deals set on games such as Castlevania Dracula X, Final Fantasy I and II and Tactics for $9.99 on the PSP and a handful of Resident Evil titles on the PS2 and Wii. Just remember the Game Days sale is on sealed titles and the prices will only be available as the items are in stock, so once the store runs out of those smashable X-Plorer guitars, your opportunity is gone.
I guess I should point out that my purchase was for the Xbox 360 version of GH: A, but the X-Plorer bit should refer to that. Hopefully other people can confirm this since it may be on a per-location basis.
I don't really see how this is much longer than any of the other typical posts on the site, but I suppose you can say GH: Aerosmith, Boogie Superstar (no mic) and Guitar Rock Star are $9.99 brand new while supplies last - certain locations are giving out a free X-Plorer guitar with GH: A purchase. For one week only, Elite Beat Agents is $4.99 used.
*sigh* the UK never gets these deals. GH:A is still around £40 here, which is something like $70? And that's the not even the bundle - then it's around £70, which is insane. =(
Thanks for the info, scored the GH:A with controller for 10 bucks. I'd never dream of buying them normally but shit, 10 dollars? I'll have to pick up GH3 360 now for achievements :P
That reminds me, a few weeks ago in GameStop I saw the DDR X bundle going new for $30.
I'll double check it in a while online, but when I was last in a Best Buy store, I believe they were trying to pawn it away for $20. That was a month or two ago, so it could have just been a temporary sale, too - if I'm even remembering correctly.
EDIT: The online Web site has it at $24.99 now, so I probably wasn't dreaming it. Even though it's five bucks higher than I stated, it's still cheaper than $30 - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218008587493
