So it's been a few days since the donation drive started, and as we said before we're not just going to ask for your money outright. We were waiting on a few things to come through regarding some cool, rare merchandise that we could raffle off and the first bit of that came last night. We're going to have a few other raffles as the donation drive continues and the rules will be the same for each. Rather than raffle off random stuff, we're gonna be giving everyone the opportunity to win stuff that has always been pretty pricey.

The first item up for grabs via raffle is a beatmania IIDX 12 HAPPY SKY Tapestry. Also known as an archstand (although without the stand itself it really isn't), these are given as an option for arcade owners in Japan to promote their new games when they come out. The tapestries themselves always seem to be a little bit more rare, likely due to the space they take up and how easily they can walk when placed outside of a location.

One of these same tapestries recently sold at the Tokyo Game Action auction for over $400. To say it's a desirable piece of merchandise is an understatement.

Raffle tickets cost $5 each and will be available for purchase through July 31st, 2009. The winner of the raffle will be picked and announced on August 3rd, 2009. This raffle is open to everyone in every country, whether they're registered on bemanistyle or not. Purchasing multiple tickets is okay but they have to be done in separate donations so we can keep track of them. Just click the button below to donate.

All ticket purchases MUST include your address as we plan to ship the item the same day we draw the winner. The winner will be picked on video by myself and a special guest staff member and then posted online to confirm authenticity.
