Loserbait edit: Known songlist update! I will update the BPMs and DP difficulties soon -- tired from typing all this out over the span of 4 hours (not to mention the 2 hours of playing. MASSIVE props to Paulie @ Timeout for the credits. I owe you one!).

NOTES
-Speed mods can be changed during the gameplay before the first arrows come by using the left-right buttons on the cabinet.
-HIDDEN/SUDDEN+ options added. They are adjusted using the up and down buttons on the cabinet.
-RISKY mod added. When this mod is activated, the lifebar turns into a battery bar with one life on it.
-It appears resonance and DELTA MAX can be unlocked for normal play, method unknown.
-A "ver D." of roppongi EVOLVED can be played on X2. In Hottest Party 3, X2 US CS, and Music Fit, only Ver. A-C were available.
-Extra stage system "REPLICANT-D-ACTION" unlocked. The way for each song to appear depends on different criteria.

-Roppongi has a fourth Expert chart (so unnecessary).
-Everytime We Touch is a 9 on DDR scale (so a 6) when it should be a hard ITG scale 9.
-Second Heaven's chart is still bad I bet.
-Saints Go Marching has a 19 footer Oni chart. (Just maybe MAYBE they stepped it right, must see video).
-Waka Laka gets an Oni chart with SHOCK ARROWS (self-explanatory).
-Hey guys remember when doing the Extra Stage meant something? It doesn't help that we know the charts already, it's so anticlimatic.
-DeltaMAX? LOL How about 888, because you know, that chart was stepped right by a certain someone...
-Ice Ice Baby? LOL I wonder how the JP players feel about that song being in an arcade release.
The only thing I can take from this is the If You Were Here remix. I'll definitely take the song, but the chart is probably total ass.

Awesome! However, I have little hope for the U.S version. Ether it will never be released at all, or it will end up as a watered down version like all the other versions since supernova. The best case scenario is if they replace the so called "improved" cabinets from DDR X U.S. with ones true to the Japanese redesigns, but I really doubt that. I wonder if there is a way to import a Japanese cabinet.

Ah geez why are songs getting unlocked so quickly?
Also this. Charts aside, features wise this game is the best. Little funky ways to unlock songs and give them names "Cardinal Gate from DistorteD and Parallel Rotation from Sirius" is always a big catcher for me to play for the sake of completing the steps to unlock the material.

So far there are 45 known playable songs, and about 6 other ones known but aren't currently playable yet. Konami said there's going to be 70+ songs in the x2 folder after everything's unlocked, so there's still a good 20 songs left...
I.E. they're unlocking fast because there's a crapload of stuff still hidden.

I still say X was a good mix. I see no reason why there is so much hate other than the announcer.
I am kinda glad konami took it as if X was a bad mix, because now they just topped what was already good and made it 10x better.
Awesome.

Considering the recent happenings in these threads, some kids will bash your opinion into the ground while saying their opinions are the best. But if you want my opinion, yeah I completley agree with you lol.
Alsoi Bonafied lovin' is a fast song... I don't know what speedmods I would put on a 1254bpm song

I'll agree with the fact that it was the best Mix since Max2. Sadly I'm still a sucker for DanceMania songs and Max2 nailed the head there.

YES at Delta Max
I hope Mei shows up, and I want to hear Shining!!!

Does X2 revive some random BeForU songs.
if not i'll have to hope the few SuperNOVA2's that I have access to remain SuperNOVA2's. (most of those places also have shitty USA X cabinets, hopefully those get replaced)

Shining is a BeForU cover, so we at least get that.
And we can hope they keep true... and Chikara, and Dive to the Night.

I also hope to see the full songlist to see any revived songs or removed songs from previous games
SN2 removed
ska a go go
Jam Jam Reggae(both versions)
20, november
gentle stress (AMD SEXUAL MIX)
while X has a massive amount of removals

So they used the anime's banner for 'only my railgun', but the fripSide mv for the BG video? That's kinda odd, but looks like X2 has a good song list overall.

They use the album covers for licenses. There's nothing odd here.

these comments pretty much cement your spot as a douche bag.
-doing ES hasnt meant anything since 6th mix, and it shouldnt have meant anything then. its not like it was a new feature, considering 1st mix and the solo titles have ES in them.
-songs dont have to be a hard 9 in ITG to have a good chart. if every time we touch has the UNI1 chart it is fine as is, that chart is tons better than one of the cookie cutter ITG expert charts that could be used on 4 or 5 songs without you noticing it doesnt belong to that song.
-888's chart isnt good because of who it was stepped by, thats just stupid, on the other hand nothing was ever good about deltamax.
-there is nothing wrong with ice ice baby as a license, and i doubt the japanese have even batted an eye at its inclusion. its better than an english version of the song from ruroni kenshin, which if i was japanese i would be MORE upset about that being included in games only released in my region. hell, they even sorted sobakasu under F. until SN US it was only in japanese games, 3 of them. why include an english version of a japanese song in a japanese game? THAT'S something much more worth getting upset about than a vanilla ice license, and even that isnt a huge deal.
I went yesterday to the arcade and played some x2, here is my personal opinion:
i didnt liked the character seleccion screen, its too simple i guess, i liked
more the one of x, but, the other game screens i think they are pretty good, i asked some japanese players what did they think and thay came up with "kirei" = pretty.
i didnt like the low resolution videos! why did they put low resolution videos noo!!
I was happy to play some revivals :D
The new songs i think they are pretty decent, except for ice ice baby :S
The game has a little bit more loading time.
The beggining drill courses are not so good, pretty easy, i hope the unlocks are more interesting.
the iidx crossovers are pretty decent :) i am looking forward for the unlocks!

Playing it in a matter of hours. Hopefully I'll have a video camera for music/gameplay. Otherwise, I'll give you guys a more complete song list (if it's not done by the time I'm ready to type, I'll spam it in the appropriate thread).

seeing Only My Railgun on the setlist MADE. MY. DAY.
Just a question, but are Dynamite Rave, Celebrate Nite, Keep On Movin' etc. the old good versions or the crappy new vocal versions? DR shows the challenge chart and KOM doesn't so it looks like they brought back the good versions...?
Awesome, Burning Heat! (3 Option Mix) is back for another DDR game. Then again, given how it comes from a game in Konami's signature Gradius series, I'm not surprised that much.
Actually, the revivals thing continues the rather annoying trend I have noticed. Revivals = transplant DDR Extreme into the game, minus a couple of songs, despite the list of songs that have been neglected, KOs and licenses alike.
Now with a Haruhi song, I think I'll know what I'll hear at my local arcade OVER AND OVER again.
I was pretty happy to see that on here. Can someone upload a vid of the Heavy/Oni Chart?
The only things I'll think I'll miss alot are the absents of Look to the Sky and the BeForU songs, but I think I see Himiwari up there (My Katakana skills suck guys) so I wont be too sad.

Also, there are currently 6 BeForU/BeForU member songs revived: CANDY <3, TEARS, BREAK DOWN!, Under the Sky, Himawari, and Love Sugar. There may be more coming as most of the BeForU revivals thus far have been unlocks.
I was pretty happy to see that on here. Can someone upload a vid of the Heavy/Oni Chart?
Easy as anything Heavy chart, lots of jumps. Really fun... I'll try to get a video going but~ it all depends on whether or not I can coerce a friend to standing there recording me play =] Fingers crossed!
Looks like the headline's breaking a character count limit, haha... I learned something new today.
All these play-unlocks are great to hear about over in Japan, but I still worry about how well this will "localize" across the seas. If the past versions are any indication, eAmuse is still not going to be commonplace due to the culture differences in US arcades. Yes we could still just get step code unlocks like SN2 and X (which I greatly appreciate), but it would be a shame to not see those of us overseas get to experiment with REPLICANT but just get the unlocks over time. I suppose that's what the home version is for, then!

Maybe we'll just luck out and Red Rocket Rising will appear in the game.
Thanks Pie! The chart looks a bit easy but enjoyable. Double tapping tho...?
Did not see Under the Sky on the list, hopefully it gets a new Oni chart =).... does Love suger really count as BeForU? (More Taka, or I always assumed anyway lol)
Just a question, but are Dynamite Rave, Celebrate Nite, Keep On Movin' etc. the old good versions or the crappy new vocal versions? DR shows the challenge chart and KOM doesn't so it looks like they brought back the good versions...?
I'm not sure exactly... I'm thinking no because while I see Dynamite Rave (and the respective AIR special), what I don't see is the MAX2 ONI-only remix of it.
Judging from the broken tag at the end of the post, they hit the character count limit and the rest of the songlist got cut off. According to ZIV's songlist, the songs letter T and beyond all carried over from X, so no worries there.

Setlist looks awesome, not that many mainstream licenses, then again, it's just the Japanese version. I'd imagine the US version will have tons of licenses, CS though.
