DJ MAX TECHNIKA testing in New York
Posted by eddie - Sat 04/18 2009 - 09:49 PM - 1236 Views

We don't have too many details on this location test just yet, but we've just been informed by PM Studios that DJ MAX TECHNIKA is on location in New York. The venue for this test is:

FUNFUZION @ New Roc City
19 Le Count Place
New Rochelle, NY 10801

The machine on test is the newest version of the title, which should be shipping to arcades around the country in the very near future. Those of you with IC cards from any of the limited edition releases to date can use them on the machine to save your progress, scores and settings.

We'll post more information as we get it.

I find it ironic that the game is so close to shipping out to arcades and its still having places to test it out...

Hahaha... I'm not saying its a bad thing, if anything, at least technika's being spread out through the nation.

Still waiting for SVGL's machine to come =\

Aw yeah, finally, a place in NYC-

Wait... WHERE!?

The hell is this place?

From where I am... going to the Break is almost the same amount of time traveled!

Dammit, I really wish CF would be more open to location tests... still, I'll have to try it out.

Word of warning since no one posted the price of the game at this location, most of this place are REALLY over prices like all dancing games being $2 a game.

So how much is it? 3 bucks per game?

BUT, they do have a shit-ton of games (when we were there I believe in addition to a few dancing games, they had Virtua On, Espagaluda and the original Time Crisis among others), though it seems like they don't really maintain their machines well.

Unless anything's changed you'll also be forced to buy a $10 game card upon entry.

I just called funfuzion and the lady on the phone said that they don't have it. She also claims that she doesn't know when they are going to get it. She answered my questions pretty promptly as if she was receiving calls all morning about the game. So I do indeed think that she knows what I was talking about and that she wasn't lying. Does anyone know when they are expected to get the machine?

I just called myself. Chances are, they probably won't get it until midweek, or even later. Which is fine, considering I don't have an off day for quite some time.

Finally, a game test that is only a 10 minute train ride away from home!

That's too far away from Queens
I don't even know how to get there....

Can I use the Korean Ver. IC Card in the machines?

New Roc City? That's a good place for a test location. I've only been by there on the train from Port Chester. Not too far from NYC. I'd love to go to this, but I don't see a 3+ hr, 366mi round trip car ride in the near future.

BTW I can confirm the following information about the location test at New Roc City:

1. Yes they do have Technika now.
2. It costs $1.50 per play.

To get there from NYC take Metro-North's Hudson line to the New Rochelle train station. New Roc City is within walking distance (5 minutes).
