REMO-CON 1st Album - a life with remote controllers
Posted by eddie - Mon 05/18 2009 - 01:33 PM - 1791 Views

Fans of beatmania IIDX would probably recognize any of the several tracks dj REMO-CON has done for the title. Songs like Bad Boy Bass, Pollinosis and Tonight? remain amongst the most prolific in the franchise. If you haven't heard his non bemani works, you're missing out. And now Hellhouse Recordings is giving you the opportunity to catch up with a full length release from the legendary DJ.

a life with remote controllers is slated for Japanese only release on June 3rd 2009 with an international release planned after July (UK first, other territories possibly later). BUT, if you order the album direct from the HELLHOUSE ONLINE SHOP your copy of the album will ship on the day of release from Japan, completely negating the wait.

From Hellhouse Recordings website

Having consistently been described as a driving force in a style of music we call, "Tech-Dance", REMO-CON is finally set to release his first artist album, in a genre that is best described as a slick new fusion of techno, trance and hard dance.

REMO-CON has been involved in over 150 Japanese dance hit compilations as a sound engineer. He's also known as a member of "Y&Co" who produced the biggest trance compilation in Japan "Cyber Trance", and the massive "House Nation" compilation series with Avex Trax, (Japan's biggest major dance label).

As a producer and DJ, he has continued to show us his remarkable talent, and is considered as one of the leading authorities of our scene and now, Hellhouse is finally ready to deliver his first album, "A LIFE WITH REMOTE CONTROLLERS". On this album, you can appreciate the true charm that is, REMO-CON.

Within the "Tech-Dance" realm, he creates a wide variety of hybrid sounds that represent the recent insurgence of numerous genres into the dance music scene such as electro, techno and tech-trance. Compiled within this masterpiece, REMO-CON hand selected a few of his own favorite productions to incorporate 2 remixes, a brand new version of "G-SHIGH 09, and 13 new tracks, to give us a total of 15 massive grooves to complete the album.

This album could also be considered as a REMO-CON greatest hits album, as he delivers the following:

- An upgraded version of "G-SIGH" (2009 remix); which many will remember as his signature track that triggered his new production direction

- "ATAVISM", which obtained five stars in the UK's DJ MAG.

- "COLD FRONT" (album version), which was licensed by leading trance label, "ANJUNABEATS" and Japan's biggest major dance label "Avex".

- "SYNCHRONICITY & ONEGOA", that were played repeatedly for three weeks in a row by JUDGE JULES on BBC RADIO 1

- "BLEEP ON LOVE", which is an exclusive new production for the album.

Due to REMO-CON's flurry of activity in the studio, and consistent level of productions, fans will be able to revisit some of his classics with an updated flair, as well as hear a whole new assortment of music.

When you think back to the first time you listened to dance music or danced all night at a club, do you remember that uplifting feeling? We hope that you will again feel that same sensation when you listen to what REMO-CON has in store, then even you may see the future of dance that shines

Prototype sounds like Golden Cross without the bass and without the higher pitched synths.
