GuitarFreaks & DrumMania XG, the highly anticipated new entries in Konami's guitar and drum simulation game series, will finally see its release today in Japan. For those who need a refresher, the XG series introduces brand new updated cabs along with new expanded controllers and updated gameplay.
We'll be following all the details as they come in, so watch this news item for song lists and other important items. Meanwhile, check the official site for the games which will probably see a major update tonight.

Notes
-About 10 songs added from the AOU2010 Version
-Extra Stage is rumored to be a Mikeneko Rock remix, but no confirmation as of yet.
-Mikeneko Remix now said to be called "Mikeneko Rock Jive".
-Reality Lost and 朝から夜に added to songlist.
-Other additions include Eau Rouge, I Want It All, IMI, Love☆Carnival, and Believing. Still waiting on artist names for these.
-Mikeneko Remix is called 三毛猫JIVE＆ジャイブ by Hideyuki Ono.
-Encore songs said to be Chronos zwei / TAG vs Jimmy and X-Generation / 96. Waiting for confirmation.
I haven't added all the new songs yet because I'm waiting on things like artist names. Overall, it looks like there's about 35-40 new songs on the default list, not unusual for BEMANI games.
@Pie-kun :) That's a relief so have you heard all the songs yet or are you just getting info from other Japanese DMGF related sites ? (sorry just excited)
Some of the songs have four numbers listed for their difficulty, is there another level above Extreme?
Yeah, it's called "Master" and is only available for a few songs.

As far as I know, "Master" difficulty is simply harder than Extreme. All difficulties should use all the new pads and pedal that were added to the cab,

in XG, there are 2 modes: Standard and Classic
All songs in Standard mode will utilize all pads while Classic mode will utilize just like V7 and V6
