At the release party for the new Guinness Book of World Records: Gamer's Edition, Chris Chike aka iamchris4life, was featured going for the highest score ever on GH3's TTFAF.
CNN was there to capture the moment with this video..

And really, I don't think you can name one "best" player of any game, since so many people have achieved high scores on all the songs. He was just the best player there on that day.
Ah, I remember when he tri-starred pandemonium. That was cool. Probably a bit more impressive than this though, because it requires much more...physical ability.
He might be the "best" to the known world. Just remember there is always someone better than yourself. DDR/ITG/GH etc holding on to a chair via max period or bar is not impressive.

He really doesn't play arcade DDR much, I've only seen one vid on YouTube of him playing at the arcade.
