And the dagger goes a little further into the heart of those waiting for ADVENTURE CS, as Konami today announced it will be holding location testings for the 18th pop'n music title in the main series to hit arcades. pop'n music 18 Sengoku Retsuden will be hitting up two Japanese locations starting Aug. 20:
AM PIA at Kanagawa Prefecture from Aug. 20-30
Rundown at Fukuoka Prefecture from Aug. 21-30
You can catch the game's location testing page on Konami of Japan's site and, as always, you can expect reports and information from the game as soon as the game touches down.

its killing me that they have pretty much given up on CS Pop'n games, but seeing that the series is going strong in AC form still leaves me with hope (and more songs to play when i find upgraded machines).

Another Japanese-themed pop'n since Iroha, but this time it's using Sengoku era as its backdrop. Pretty interesting. :)
And yeah, Konami needs to release ADVENTURE CS so bad. Pop'n Music for the Wii was epic fail on what can I see.

I'm sure that the games suggestion box will be filled to the brim with 15CS mention. That is, if Japanese players even care about CS games nemores.
Hell yeah though, can't wait to hear what Hyper Seppukuu sounds like

I always tot the theme for each version alternate between celebration and activity.
11 - Airport/Travelling (Activity)
12 - Iroha (Celebration/Festival)
13 - Carnival (Activity)
14 - Fever (Celebration)
15 - Adventure (Activity)
16 - Party (Celebration)
17 - Movie (Activity)
18 - Sengoku Retsuden (I'm guessing activity? Or maybe its a celebrative festival like Iroha)
I'm guessing since Japan has more access to arcades that they just don't feel the need to put out a CS release? But that in turn alienates importers from other countries who don't have ready access to arcade machines.
Sengoku Retsuden (戦国列伝) seems to translate to "Warring States Biographies". Just for background, the Warring Stages Period, or Sengoku Jidai (戦国時代) was a time of social upheaval in Japanese history (about 1467-1568 CE). This was the period that saw the famous ruling of Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu. More at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sengoku_period.
