Konami Holding Special BEMANI UStream Event on August 27th

Seemingly out of nowhere, Konami of Japan has announced a special live BEMANI event to be held on the popular broadcasting site "UStream" on August 27th at 8:00PM (For those of us in the United States, that will be 4:00AM PST and 7:00AM EST).

Keeping in their true enigmatic fashion, there are very few details on what the event will entail, but they do tease that there will be discussion and information on the latest BEMANI titles, including console games. The last tidbit is particularly significant as there are currently no new console BEMANI titles set for release in Japan. Could we possibly see the announcement of some long-awaited BEMANI console titles?

Konami has also teased on their official Twitter that the event will feature guests from beatnation records, new details on beatmania IIDX 18 Resort Anthem, and news on DanceDanceRevolution X2 and jubeat knit.
