RUMOR: More details on Konami's mystery XBLA game?

Remember "beat'n groovy"? The Voltex developed, Konami published XBLA game that mysteriously popped up on the ESRB a few months back? Well after going dry with details for several months aside from some speculation on the blatantly obvious connection between the name and a certain fan favorite Bemani title, some more information seems to be trickling out.
I have it from extremely reliable sources that this game basically IS pop'n music for the US market. I've been told that the game features familiar characters from the pop'n universe, and an almost identical interface. The only major difference being that the game is played with a standard 360 controller. Think Boom Boom Rocket with the pop'n interface.
While I still haven't gotten any kind of word about how many buttons it will support, or what the music in the game is like (here's hoping we get familiar songs as well), the information provided is more than enough to keep me interested.
WTF?! Why XBLA instead of a retail release? There's only enough space on XBLA for about 10 songs! More importantly, why the XBOX360 anyways? This should've been a retail release on the PS2 and Wii!

Sold. Pop'n + achievements + possible DLC + cheap as hell = yes. Besides, I got into pop'n by playing the old dc mixes on a standard dreamcast controller, and played the psx and ps2 ones the same way until I could afford my pop'n con, this should be fun as hell :3
Just need more info and a release date, KEEP ME POSTED BMS

Honestly. Pop'n is completely pointless on a regular controller.
I mean granted it's just barely worth it on a minicon, but a controller is twice as bad.
I assume it will be pop'n-esque but not a pop'n port. It would have said that.
So it would be designed to be somewhat enjoyable on a controller.
Hopefully.
