Being that Anime Expo is only a week away this may seem like a late announcement. Either way, PM Studios is being ever so gracious and hosting us at their booth at Anime Expo 2009. We'll have some bemanistyle T-Shirts available at the booth for $15 a piece along with some select albums from the mydjsobad inventory available for sale. PM Studios is doing a whole bunch of really cool stuff to promote DJ MAX TECHNIKA and DJ MAX FEVER.
First of all, they're gonna have some really killer sales on DJ MAX merchandise, including some brand new wall scrolls of the girls from the First Kiss video. Along with that there will be a couple of contests. You can see the pricing and what will be available in the attached image, the contests breakdown as such:
For every purchase, the customer gets 2 types of raffle tickets. 1 Raffle is for prizes. The Second Raffle is for the Technika Contest.
Both Raffle Events will be held on Saturday at 11AM.
Raffle 1: We will pull out a raffle ticket and the winner will win one of the following things:
1st Place Prize: Sony PSP System with DJ Max Fever 2nd Place Prize: Limited Edition DJ Max Fever 3rd Place Prize: A set of Technika Cards (All 10) 4th Place Prize: A set of all the Wallscrolls (All 4)
Raffle 2: We will pull out a raffle ticket to determine the order for the Technika Contest. The names will be pulled randomly and we will begin the tournament in this order. Each person can only participate once and can only win one prize.
1st Place Prize: The First Person who can complete Technical Mode with A Average will win a Limited Edition DJ Max Fever. 2nd Place Prize: The First 3 People who can complete Technical Mode will win a copy of DJ Max Fever. 3rd Place Prize: The First 2 People who can complete Pop Mode with an A Average will win a copy of the Technika Soundtrack. Small Prizes: The First 20 People who can complete Pop Mode with a B Average will win a Technika Card.
No word on whether the Technika machine at the booth with be on public play other than the tournaments, but there will definitely be a machine in the game room available. This is also a really good time to buy the cards as the suggested retail price is $8. So come say hi at the booth in the exhibit hall, I'll be there all weekend, and good luck with the raffles and tournament for those who participate!
I'd be willing to take orders for people there, just give me a deposit (50%) and a PM letting me know what you'd like. Of course, there'll be a deputy fee, but that's negotiable.
Also, admittedly, $20 for Fever is a steal. And you get a Technika card with it! Plus, PM hosting BMS here is really cool, I'm really happy to hear that.
The first 100 people who buy Fever Bundle will also get a Soundtrack Disc for Free.
If this is a unique CD to complement Fever I know someone who's going to be all over this :B
Hell ye-- I mean I wonder who?

Haha... damn I wish I could go so bad now. Screw being too broke to trip it down there. Even if Plat Crew isn't announced at AX, its still going to be really awesome what is announced. Also, very classy of PM Studios to host BMS at AX. I'm likin these guys more and more every day :)
So... they should totally be selling those wallscrolls online for those of us who can't make it to AX this year. :3
Yum told me in a mail that there are only 50 per wallscroll and they are being sold if there are leftovers from the expo (and i highly doubt that there will be any leftovers ^^")
I stopped by the booth and bought 2 wall scrolls. they're GORGEOUS!! didnt win the raffle though :(. There were 2 Technika machines on hand, one in the arcade and one at the booth. I only got to play a few times cuz a bunch of ppl were all over it.
Besides having hours-long enlightening conversations about h-games with the J-List guys and stocking up on some import PS2 goodness, I can safely say I spent the majority of my time in the AX exhibit hall at the PM booth, although maybe only half the time actually playing Technicka though! Mostly I was just talking to ThatsGobbles (I still have my pocket guide! thanks! :D), Spiritsnare, JUSTKHAI, and and others.
Didn't win any raffles either, but I did manage to catch a copy of Fever when they were tossing stuff to the crowd! Best part was getting it signed by THE CREW. :<> Now AI doesn't seem so far away from Boyle Heights anymore. Of course I'll make sure to leave the sombrero at home! Or not....
