Ratner wants to make a Guitar Hero movie

Thanks to BemaniAK for the info:
Potential "God of War" movie maker Brett Ratner would really like to make a "Guitar Hero" movie.
But the "X-Men" and "Rush Hour" director doesn’t think Activision would want him to.

This is all wrong. Everyone knows video game movies are supposed to have nothing to do with their source material. Aren't we still in the dark even about a fucking single trailer for the Halo Film? Guitar hero film.... bad idea. They would HAVE TO make it amazingly awesome... like give five kids guitar hero guitars that shoot lasers and shit that fight aliens that come to earth and try to take over. Wait... nevermind.
The more people talk about the guitars shooting lasers, the more I'm going to want it to happen. It would be one of those things where it's so bad, it's fantastic. I'm imagining something like Kiss Saves Christmas from Family Guy. Guitars versus Pterodactyls would be instant win.
While they're making a rhythm game movie...
They might as well add DDR, Taiko no Tatsujin, IIDX, and Karaoke together
You would play guitar hero with one hand, IIDX with another, Play DDR, and bash your head into the Taiko drum, and sing after 5 cans of any alcoholic beverage you choose...WITH A SPIKE PIT UNDERNEATH IT AND A PLOT INVOLVING MUTATED FROG MONSTERS TAKING OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anything, the movie should be about the characters, and it should be cell-shaded animated. Abd they would play real guitars, not some stupid video game.
The movie in itself wouldn't be bad judging from what his initial thoughts are, albeit crushingly average and generic, the Guitar Hero name and license would be completely useless unless it was actually about the characters of the GAMES shooting into fame.
After this I'm sure Peter Jackson could make a Rock Band movie...to coincide with the release of Rock Band 14.

Now, he has the right idea. That would be fucking awesome. I can tell you now... a much better work out then the bow-flex system.
