It's been something that eddie has wanting to do for quite some time and, so, here we are, looking to get on track with a series of regular reviews for music-based video gaming. There is a page dedicated to reviews featured on Bemanistyle and you'll notice there is only 11 staff reviews on deck, but this will be changing real soon as we've dedicated ourselves to keeping on top of recent music video games and you should be seeing the results of this real soon.
Not only will users start to see recent games being covered with full reviews, but, fortunately, I have permission from other sites I have worked with in the past to use my previous works from 2005 up to the current date on Bemanistyle. Actually, about 15 minutes ago, there were only nine staff reviews on the site, but I have retro-dated two reviews that are new to the site:
Guitar Hero 5 (Xbox 360)
Donkey Konga 3 (Import Gamecube)
I have a bunch more stored up that I will be able to add in here and there as I get time, so please bare with me on getting these reviews transferred over.
In the mean time, we hope you will enjoy this new effort and seeing as this is a community site, there is actually two ways you can help out. First, just like we have retro-dated our most recent review entries, we certainly have no qualms about reflecting on classic music game titles and providing full reviews on them for the site. If there is a music game you would like see officially reviewed by the staff, please be sure to let us know. Secondly, it seems this has kind of gone by the wayside, but our users can submit their own reviews for inclusion on the site if they are properly formatted, informative and well-written. There is an entire section of the forum dedicated to user reviews and if you go to the Bemanistyle.com review page, there is an official submission process right on the page. If we get some participants, we'll be sure to spotlight some of the work on the front page and, possibly, if user participation is steady, there may be other possibilities for the feature.
