The title has been announced to feature the Rock Band Music Store as well, with songs from LEGO Rock Band featuring that ever-so-popular export feature to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions for play across all Rock Band game modes. This time around, the export will cost players $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points) and, of course, players will need online access for the feature.

The specialized Music Store will work as such: The title will share the Rock Band music store with the other titles, however, since LEGO Rock Band is a more family-centered title, songs that may have "inappropriate content" will not appear on the store through this specific title. However, any family-friendly tune that is cleared for the service will be made available and playable across the entire Rock Band platform.

Hm. Some of the songs would be worth exporting (QUEEEEEEEEN), there are a more-than-usual number of songs I would rather not have.

It seems the course of action is to buy the game, pay for the export, and then return the game. I suppose the $10 fee is to still get money from the people who do this (vs. Rock Band 1 getting imported to RB2).

Wow, but "Summer of '69" has jumped right to the top of my "guilty pleasure" list of songs to sing/murder. And the Kooks? Yes, please. Ditto for the duo of Queen songs (which will go nicely with that 10-pack next week).

I was really excited for this game when it seemed to be a lot of pop songs that were missing from Rock Band, like So What and Walkin On Sunshine, but there are way too many bands in this with lead singers who have straightened hair brushed over their eye for me to be interested anymore. I still might buy this just for I Want You Back.

Now IIDX isn't the only rhythm game with Ghostbusters.

I have to wonder if 'inappropriate' songs downloaded via RB2 will show up in LEGO or not.

This was actually clarified, already. LEGO apparently has some sort of filter that blocks naughty DLC that may be found in your hard drive. Therefore, you can buy songs that will work for RB2, but may be blocked on your LEGO RB.

Not quite believing a family-oriented game has a songlist this decent.
